Growing up in New Zealand I dreamt of travelling to faraway places but wasn’t bit by the travel bug until the age of 17 when I moved to Argentina to do my last year of High School as a Rotary Exchange Student in Patagonia. Upon returning to New Zealand I started working in the Hotel Industry which quickly took me to Sydney. After a few years in Hotel management I decided to try my hand at Corporate travel and worked for various companies in Australia & England.
After finding love in Colombia in 2013 on a 1-year trip of a lifetime around South America I decided to move here permanently and have been working with Colombia Eco Travel since November 2018. I love living in the Andes mountains of Ibague with my wife and 2 rescue dogs and travelling to new destinations around Colombia whenever I have the opportunity. A Wildlife Safari in Casanare in the eastern planes is at the top of my list for my next Colombian adventure.
I received my Certified Travel Associate diploma in 2020.
Some of my favorite Colombian cuisine include Ajiaco, sweet plantain & all the various tropical fruit varieties.
